Yallourn Madrigal Singers
Making a difference in the lives of our singers, our audience, and our community through the power and beauty of choral singing.

The Yallourn Madrigal Singers is a mixed voice (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) community choir, based in the Latrobe Valley.
The repertoire still includes madrigals and folk songs, but has expanded to include a broad range, from medieval troubadour songs,19th and 20th century classical pieces, nostalgic jazz standards and contemporary popular songs and show tunes.

The choir is not auditioned, although a voice assessment is made by the Music Director to determine voice range, with a six-week probation period. Sight reading is a definite advantage, but not compulsory.

Our singers are grateful for the grant received from Latrobe City, which has enabled the purchase of a new set of "The Oxford book of flexible choral songs."
This collection will help the choir in our planned community performances.
